for ohio, running on it more or less. he's helped with the fact that sherrod brown has been running on it aggressively. ohio has heard a lot of good things about the auto rescue. democrats call it a rescue, republicans a bailout. that seems to have helped them. if you doubt that, just look at the jeep ad romney put out last week. >> bill: romney's response is to say first of all well, obama did exactly what i told him he should do, wrong. people have pointed that out. romney would have allowed no federal funds hoping to raise money for the banks. he said obama saved jeep so they could ship the jobs to china where the head of g.m. and every paper in ohio and michigan said wrong. did that backfire on romney? >> we have not seen anything in the polls in ohio to suggest that it worked for him. we haven't seen a huge back lash either. we'll find out particularly in that northeast and northwest ohio tomorrow. we'll find out how big the penalty runs up margins. if they're really, really big maybe that ad did backfire. >> bill: we're talking jobs and economy with a man who covers it north n
